Worldwide, Puressentiel sells a product from its range every two seconds!

  • Puressentiel Purifying Air Spray with 41 essential oils: The best-selling product in the Puressentiel range is also the biggest-selling aromatherapy product in pharmacies. It boasts a 66%2 market share and sales continue to rise year-on-year

  • The Puressentiel Muscles and Joints range feature six products (rollers, gel, patches, muscle massage oil, soothing balm and bath). The Muscles and Joints Roller is the top-selling product in the muscles and joints market3, with sales figures that continue to rise

  • Puressentiel Rest and Relax Spray: The undisputed leader in Belgium and France.

International development

Currently the European leader in pharmacies and parapharmacies, Puressentiel aims to become the global leader in aromatherapy and natural well-being. With this in mind, the company is committed to developing its European subsidiaries and its worldwide national commercial partnerships.

In 2014, international sales accounted for 25% of Puressentiel's turnover with a presence in 50 countries across four continents. Over the next three to five years, the laboratory's objective is for 50% of its turnover to come from exports.

In Europe, five Puressentiel subsidiaries have already been opened: Belgium/Luxembourg, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. The business has experienced rapid growth in all these countries and is now the European leader in aromatherapy with a market share of over 30%. In July 2015, the company opened a new subsidiary in Canada.

Rocco Pacchioni

Rocco Pacchioni, Isabelle and Marco Pacchioni's son, joined the family company in April 2011 to handle Puressentiel's international development.

He aims to establish Puressentiel as the definitive global leader in the aromatherapy market.

Three questions for Rocco Pacchioni

Aromatherapy is not known or recognised in the same way in all countries. How can you export the Puressentiel concept?

Primarily we talk about effective natural health. France is the world's largest aromatherapy market, but in many countries there is no distinction between aromatherapy, herbal medicine and gemmotherapy…

There is clearly a demand for natural products from consumers worldwide, but often few offers as comprehensive as ours, which opens up great potential for us.

How is the brand's international development progressing?

The business experienced rapid growth in all these countries to become the European leader in aromatherapy in 2014 with a market share of over 30%.

Our objective over the next three to five years is for 50% of our turnover to come from exports!

What is your roadmap for achieving this objective?

There is no rush, because we must respect the steps in terms of production capacity, compliance with national regulations and also convince pharmacists of the proven efficacy of essential oils and our ready-to-use products.

This is why we are concentrating on the leading products where we know that there are already markets among pharmacies in the different countries, but few or no natural solutions.

They are interested in our approach because pharmacists are noticing that their customers are demonstrating an enthusiasm for natural products.

The aim is to turn Puressentiel into a leading global brand in the aromatherapy market.
