Zoom on essential oils:

Grapefruit • The majestic anti-cellulite
The essential oil from grapefruit is regal when treating cellulite and orange peel syndrome. It drains, eliminating waste and water ‘blocked’ in the fibres, detoxifies, discharges, firms up and helps lymphatic circulation and vasodilation (widening of the blood vessels).

Detoxifies, drains, fights against cellulite and water retention -> Grapefruit, Lemon
Decongests veins -> Niaouli, Rosemary.
Revitalises, tones, firms up, fights against stretch marks -> Lemon, Bitter Orange, Ylang Ylang, Mandarin.

Zoom on vegetable oils:

Macadamia – Perfect massage
This is the aromatic massage oil par excellence. Thanks to its extremely specific composition, it gives an exceptional feeling to the skin, allowing the fingers to ‘glide’ easily during massage. It even suits those with the most fragile skin. It is indispensable for aromatic massages aimed at draining, slimming and fighting against cellulite, as it is excellent for lymphatic circulation and microcirculation, as well as for skin care (small blood vessels). It has ‘sebum-like’ properties, that is it defends our epidermis (outermost layer of skin) just like our own sebum, a very fine layer of fat, which prevents the skin from drying and protects it against pollution. Admittedly, teenagers are not so keen on this word, as an excess of sebum usually means acne, but later on in life, it becomes precious!

Tones, firms up -> Jojoba.
Nourishes, moisturises -> Jojoba, Macadamia.
Drains, assists microcirculation -> Fennel, Macadamia.
Soothes, fights against dry skin, facilitates massage -> Sesame, Jojoba, Camomile.

Physio’s advice

Aromatic massage plays a dominant role in keeping or regaining your figure and a firm body. Move from one area to another, in order to work each muscle as it deserves.

Arms
What with ‘flabby’ arms, ‘puffy’ arms and ‘plump’ arms, there is often a little something that can be done to improve their appearance. Rub the inside arm vigorously (above the elbow, this is often where the problem is), then knead the outside firmly, starting from the elbow and moving up to the shoulders little by little. A little soreness indicates the presence of cellulite: one more reason not to give up.

Rub the inner arm and knead the outer arm.

The waist and stomach
Ask your ‘masseur’ to knead the whole stomach area slowly and for a good while, without crushing the digestive organs. The aim is to move over the area again and again with a flat hand on the stomach, and to massage the waist to draw it in and make it suppler.

Knead the whole stomach area slowly and for a good while.

Buttocks
Crush fatty cells by pressing your fist firmly into the buttocks. Compress with rotational movements, as if you were trying to ‘sink’ your fist into the skin. Don’t be afraid to press: the buttocks are fleshy and robust!

Press your closed fist into the buttocks and compress with a rotational movement.

Inner thighs
Be careful, fragile! Gently knead the area between the knee and the top of the thigh, being careful not to hurt. Do not use the ‘palper-rouler’ technique! Take your time, massage slowly, until you feel warmth, which is the sign that the blood has come to the surface of the skin. And don’t forget to work the knee area well (and that of the ankles), which sometimes have that dreaded accumulation of fat.

Knead the area between the knee and the top of the thigh gently.
