main indications

Stressed liver, overloaded or overtired digestive system (excellent after parties).
Weak immunity or tendency to catch viral diseases (cold, flu, gastroenteritis epidemics…) or even if somebody in the home is ill with a contagious disease.
Rosacea, heavy legs, Raynaud’s syndrome (“cold hands and feet”), haemorrhoids.
Purifying for polluted air, carrying germs (bedroom, office…).
Cellulite, fluid retention, (due to venous insufficiency), excess weight.

Liver :
To swallow Put 2 drops of lemon in a tsp of olive oil, in honey, on a neutral capsule or on a small sugar cube, and let it dissolve in the mouth, 3 times a day. Or drink 3 cups of herbal tea (verbena/mint) a day, in which you can pour 1 drop of lemon essential oil (mixed with a small tsp of honey, for example).

Immunity :
Apply 2 or 3 neat drops to the chest and the upper back morning and evening as a preventive measure (for 1 week), so as not to “catch” anything, where at home or travelling. + put 2 drops in a tsp of olive oil, of honey, on a neutral capsule or a small sugar cube and allow to dissolve in the mouth before breakfast and dinner.

Circulation, excess weight problems :
Apply locally in a mixture of 10% in vegetable oil (arnica if possible), 5 drops of lemon in 50 drops of arnica.

Disinfect living areas :
Spray a few drops into the air regularly.

Skin problems: skin laxity, wrinkles, boils, herpes, chilblains, spots…
Hand (cracked, dry) and nail (brittle) care

Fatigue :
Mix 10 drops of lemon with 50 drops of arnica vegetable oil. Apply by massaging into the hands, feet, back or, if possible, all over (the whole body).

Skin :
Apply a few neat drops over small areas (herpes, chilblains) or mixed with day and night creams (wrinkles, general anti-age treatment).

Hand and nail care Massage in, combined with sweet almond oil, for dry hands, and with castor oil for brittle nails.

Freckles can be lessened thanks to the “stain-removing” properties of this essential oil.

Lemon can be aggressive to the skin, so it is better to use it diluted (unless in exceptional cases). In addition, it is photosensitising: never apply it just before exposure to sun! Also be careful with lemon-based perfumes applied before going out in the sun, as they are responsible for brown marks which are difficult to get rid of.

Like all essential oils, lemon oil is forbidden during the first 3 months of pregnancy. It should not be used during breastfeeding either.
